Kevin Connelly is the Vice President of BB & T Mortgage in Arlington. Kevin has been in the mortgage industry for more than 20 years and is also a certified trainer for VHDA Homebuyer Classes. He is a member of NVAR's Affiliate Outreach Committee and Real Estate Finance Forum. A native Washingtonian, Kevin graduated from Gonzaga College High School and earned a degree in Business Administration from the University of Maryland. Kevin specializes in solution oriented lending, utilizing the latest creative financing loan programs.

Post Licensure Certification Update
Effective January 1, 2004 new licensees must complete a 30 hr. Post-Licensure Certification Course within the first two years of receiving their license. This course will be in lieu of taking any continuing education courses for the first two years after receiving your license.
CE Requirements
All brokers and salespeople (licensed prior to January 1, 2004) must complete 16 hours of Continuing Education (CE) training in order to renew their license every two years. The curriculum includes eight hours of mandatory topics (agency, contracts, ethics, fair housing, and legal updates) and eight hours in real estate related courses.

PL Requirements
New agents (licensed after January 1, 2004) must complete 30 hours of Post Licensing (PL) training in order to renew their license for the first time. The curriculum includes 15 hours of mandatory topics (agency law, ethics, fair housing, offer to purchase, and real estate law) and 15 hours of elective real estate related courses.
