Right Time. Right Now – NAR’s Initiative to Keep Realtors® Moving Forward

In mid-February, NAR CEO Dale Stinton hosted a WebEx conference to announce an exciting new development in services for members of the National Association of Realtors®. The initiative is geared to help members increase business and ease the burden of investing in career development when times are tough on cash flow. This unprecedented move on NAR’s part is a dramatic statement showing the commitment of the association to the success of each one of our 1.2 million members.
NAR’s program will provide access to publications, education, services, resources and online tools for members FREE, at cost, or at a significantly reduced cost. In the words of the NAR Leadership Team, “by providing the right tools, right now, we can relieve some of the financial pressure on our members and help them to build their business today.”
There are nearly 300 resources available to members and associations to ease the burden and keep Realtors® in business and moving forward. These services will include 34 brochures converted to PDFs for FREE downloads by members, or print copies will be available at cost. Twelve NAR research tools will be posted online in PDF form at no charge, including; 2008 Home Buyers and Sellers Profile, Profile of Referral and Relocation Activity, NAR Commercial Member Profile, and the 2008 Member Profile. NAR is also offering more than 197 marketing print publications to members and seven online classes, both at cost including CIPS and Risk Reduction courses, Webinars and networking events.
Perhaps the most visible benefit for NVAR members is the initiative to provide tools and training to help members with their business “Right Now.” NAR is waiving royalty payments on the following NVAR-sponsored courses through the end of 2009:
